I'm pretty sure someone repainted my truck and all the stickers are gone. I've been looking for awhile and can't find any good info. All I can find is that it's an '88 3/4 ton Suburban 4x4. Duh, I already knew that!

Anyhoo here is the VIN if someone can help.

If the rpo codes aren't in the glove box, you probably won't find what you want I'm guessing. I didn't personally know of any other place you'd find the paint code :dunno:.

Maybe someone on here knows a spot. The VIN won't help much though as far as I know.

In my ‘77 truck I found the build sheet under the springs that support the foam cushion. Don’t know where they’d be on a ‘burb but might be worth a look.

I've found the options list in the seat springs on a few trucks also...or the original "build sheet" I mean, not the list you see on a glove box door or on one inner fender..

I found the build sheet for my 81 G-10 van inside the unibody rail up front--I was putting a sway bar on and saw what looked like money rolled up in a tube ,and it was stuffed in one of the factory punched holes in the unibody..it took some doing to get it out without destroying it,but I managed to get about 70% of it out and I was able to unroll and read a lot of it!.
It had been in there a long time,it was in 1992 I think I put the sway bar on it--which made a big difference in how it handles--was tippy and scary without one,I'm surprised they weren't mandatory..

Can't help. GM has started dropping off the older years from their system, parts or warranty that I can usually break down the vin numbers within. A couple of years ago I could still run my 91 K5, then it went away. My 97 S10 dropped off of GM's radar last year too. So 88 is too old for any GM dealer to see.

Thanks everyone. After looking at the VIN I believe my Burb is a 1/2 ton with 3/4 axles swapped in. Which is OK 'cause that's what I was planning on doing anyway!

You would be correct in that assumption. V1 is 4wd half ton. GM Heritage center can get you a build sheet for $50.

Why no 1973 and 1974 Blazer??? They just skipped them
Yeah it can be a hit and miss there for sure. That area is the sales sheet mostly. No idea why some models and years are there and some aren't. They may have just lost them, you know, like DB Cooper's cigarette butts.
THe build info and vintage vehicle kits are actually in a different area linked to on that page.Or here: http://www.gmmediaarchive.com/?page=3
