Has anyone here run a Sub through Rubicon?
check on priate theres been a few threads on that subject.
youll have to take it sloooow and execpt body damage...better to go during the week when its less trafic...
Thanks Justin. Shoot, I got dentistry the two times through Miller.
Yeah there was a post on pirate asking not to long ago asking the same. One burb was photo there. Willywanter has been through there and he has a 165" WB IIRC anyways its long as F. I would try it if it was closer. Just need to take your time and bring a reliable spotter
............and spare parts.
My neighbor and I are planning a trip for next year around end of august or begining of september . I figure if I can't get my $h!t together in a years time , then I will never make it . Some friends of mine just got back from the Marlin roundup with their toyotas and they had lots of sheet metal damage . My burb is gonna be fubar .
OK, so does anybody know which "book" is the one to have (with lots of pictures) for planning a trip through Rubicon?
I wana go next year.
How about this year? I'll go as late as ~35* overnight low.
well maybe before next year but I got a little bit to go before funds will allow the trip.
I'm down to go to the rubicon. but it will have to be next year some time... let's get's some dates toghter and start making plans..
From what I'm seeing, no one on this thread has "been there", so we gotta start gathering info. About the time we become experts, we should go.
sounds good to me. I will start lookin into it too. gota get edumacated
At furst I thuat that wurd was mispeld or a type-o, but no, thats de rite wey.
For Rubicon, I think we would need to seriously discuss communication, as in CB. For all day long yakking, we'll need something universal and with good range etc. I've been on a three day trek and CB is extremely efficient.
I am allready running a CB and I also have a couple walkie talkies we use when we are off roading for work.
did my home work
I am ready to go. J.K.
there is so much info out there it is easy to do homework. Is the Peep jamboree just for Heeps or do others go too? just a question.
Jeepers may not want to risk getting stopped behind a seriously wedged full size. I'm going to order some video, thats got to be cheaper than busted driveline junk. If anyone already has a vid or is buying one, post here; maybe we can share/rotate.
I have not been anywhere to inflict to much body dammage but I am looking foreward to my 1st real smoosh. I ran her into a tree once off road but it didnt even bend the bumper.
Bumpers?! We don't need no stinking bumpers. I still want to run Miller one more time before 12/31. I have dents from there but K5s seem to get through just fine.
