Whats the right way to run a top shim on my d60 with a zero rate that is 2.5" forward. Just drill a new hole in the top shim?

Whats a "top shim"? Never heard of "top" with shims.

If you run a degree shim on a 60 you have to run one on top of the spring pack on the passenger side to allow the nuts to sit flat on the plate. If not the bolts or studs (which ever you choose to run) in the housing will break.

Ah, now that makes sense. I have the solution to this problem. Sadly, TONYP does not frequent this site anymore as he made some u-bolt plates that help with this dreaded problem of snapping studs/bolts. I will get pics up shortly.

This subject has been a topic some years back. Theres a thread somewhere about it.

Here are the pics of the plates by TONYP...

Well, shiit. Pics are too big to upload here. I don't know how to resize them.

well i got some diy4x plates, so i dont really want to buying new plates. im going to just drill a hole in the shim and bolt it in there, cant be any worst than it was.
