Looking for rust free tub or roller, something I can get shipped to DC area. Im thinking that might be cheaper than the work Ill need to do to mine. Post here, but PM me so Ill get the email :D

I can find them around here, but shipping would be cheaper for a complete rig that can drive up on a trailer. Otherwise you need a forklift and/or hoist to load it. I see complete, running, rust free K5's for $500-1000 all the time (most probably have some issues, but should drive up a trailer on their own).

Finally someone that think that way.
I can't understand why some guys will get a swiss cheese blazer and spend $3000 to fix the body, when they can grab a rust free truck for under $1000.
There is actually a K5 in the for sale section in IN, not sure how rust free but it looked clean enough, and it's $1250 for the whole truck.

Running with issues is ok, my drivetrain has been sitting for 6-7 years but it had 7-8k mikes on it when it got parked.

The problem I've seen around her with rust free is they just have less rust, weather it's a quarter size hole or totally gone it's still just as much work to fix the rocker. All said and done, I'd be willing to pay the righ price for the right truck as long as it's body is in good shape.

What year K5 are you looking for?

the very 1st yr k5 blazer was 1969..there was a change of everything in 73..then changed from full '+vert to 1/2 topper in 76..then additional changes to hood & grill in 81..but, pretty much the same ''cab''/body tub from69-72's, then 73-75's & lastly76-91's tubs..the body mounts at the rear of door changed from inside of frame on a crossmember to outside of the frame mounts sometime in mid/late 70's..
