I agree,but I like the barn door ones better...

I think GM should bring a retro copy of these body's back ,with a modern drivetrain & brakes..I like those arrow shaped tail lights...these trucks were probably GM's best looking and coolest in my opinion..

The '60 to '62 Suburbans had torsion bar suspension on the 2wd ones...and we thought they were "new" for 1988?...seems they didn't pan out well,they went back to coils up front in '63...funny how the more things change,the more they stay the same,sometimes..

I had a friend who owned a 1961 C-30 Suburban..had a 235 straight six,and a Clark 5 speed factory,and the hood with the big "eyebrows"..--it had the torsion bars too..thing was a blast to ride in..
-he bought it from a local newspaper,it was one of the delivery trucks that hauled bundles of papers to the carriers who delivered them..
