that would make an awesome 'farm truck' style sleeper.

I have a '72 suburban I'm building with similar 'patina', no rust though (Nevada truck). i'll leave the paint alone.

Thats different....odd looking being that long and not 4 door.

'73 was the first four-door Suburban, crewcab mass-produced trucks IIRC. None of the domestics made a factory four-door truck until GM did that year (there were conversions, but not factory units.)

The IH Travelalls were three-door like that, possibly through all their life?

Travelalls had 4 doors in later years. For those that don't know or didn't catch it this was a 3 door suburban. Factory in those (69-72) years

I had a '71 K10 3 door Suburban like that, never did put it on the road though,I ended up parting it out because it was rotted too badly to fix--the drivers door hinges rotted right off the jambs and was in the back of the truck when I got it..

Looks like a tree landed on that one's roof up front!..

I dont know if the '67 and '68 Suburbans came in the 3 door versions, the 69-72 I know did...

I still have the rear side windows and door glass sitting in the woods next to the house where I parted the truck out..been sitting there almost 20 years,I forgot all about them..surprised they didn't get broken (yet)..also have various interior parts from it kicking around too..

Did the driver's side window roll down for the bench seat? The "door sized" window behind the driver's door and in front of the big window at the back?

I've seen the old Burbs like this and the previous gen but never looked at the windows on the inside.

Yes!

It has a one-off door panel too. No door handle, just the window crank.

It's got to be a nightmare to find for restoration work.

Saw this one today on craigslist, only a few miles away....what a dam shame, that someone let this one sit so long and rot..barn doors too!..
You never see a GMC that vintage around here any more..

Yep...that one has a mean stance to it....you could do a lot with body like that...you could do more of a hot rod build to it...kind of like a Chevy Nomad...:eek1:

I just saw one of these burbs a few days ago, too. I was thinking about swapping that great classic sheet metal onto a GMT800/900 Suburban. Run the entire new drivetrain and interior (rear A/C is a must!) to have a sweet looking, super comfy family cruiser.

Or I want a lifted, solid axle 4x4 version as an expedition rig.
