I need to replace my battery clamp after doing a lot of rewiring. To avoid having lots of battery leads coming off the top post on the battery, I'd simply like a battery clamp/cable with two 4ga outputs. One output goes to the starter and one goes to a junction block that runs the rest of the trucks accessories.

I found lots of options for stereo equipment similar to this:

I guess that thing will work, but I'm not that fond of using set screws on cables. I'd rather crimp or solder them. Does anyone have links to anything similar? Even a clamp with two pre-crimped cables would be fine with me as long as the connection is reliable.

I guess that could work. I'm kinda surprised that there just isn't normal terminals with two fat cables coming off of it. Maybe ill look up how dual batteries are handled.

i use top and side post batterys for just this.

motor and truck run off factroy side terminals. then add-on stuff gets top post. few diffrent ways to do it. if you use the cheep top post clamps . dont strip the wire and install. that sucks.

i crimp on a eyelet end and then bolt it in the middle of the cheepy clamp and top plate that normaly would hold the stripped wire.

or you can get top post stud kit with 1 stud and wing nut on top from most parts stores for few bucks.

thay also offer replacement bolts for side post that hold the factory cable nice and tight to the battery. then you get a stud with nut off that for add on stuff.

i my self like good crimped cable ends and bolt on to battery . seen way to many problems with cheep conections .

pic #3 = marine style top post adaptors . i replace wing nut with reg nut or nylyoc nut.
pic #4 = cheepy top post clamps. i put the eyelet of the cable in between the top plate and clamp body of the 2 bolt cable area.
pic #5 = top post to side post adaptors . and can be used to bolt on cables to it if need be.
