Guess who forgot to torque down the lower ball joint? :doah:

Now what really sucks is the hub wont come out. So any ideas how i can just tighten this down? And of coarse the whole shaft is spinning.

put a bottle jack under the ball joint and jack it up till it has some weight on it. Dont lift it way up off the jack stand, just enough to get some weight on it. Then tighten it with a wrench.

You will not be able to properly torque it without removing the hub and axle though.

That is a good idea. Would the offset of a crow's foot affect the torque reading though?

I dont want to be an advocate for doing things the wrong way but I have never torqued ball joints and never had a problem with them.:dunno:

You bat rasterd... I go through balljoints every 6 months.

what kind of ball joints you using? I only use moog. And the bonefish balljoints are pretty sweet but you're talking big money in a 10 bolt.

I plan on keeping my 10 bolt as well though.

i am also using moog. not to mention if you pick em up at the local parts store you get the warranty break em and bring em back.
