shifter difference...gen1 doubler to gen2?

so if i switch can i still use my gen 1 doubler shifters? or will mods be neccesary...looks to me i can just shorten the rods...anybody know this?

All you'll have to do is shorten the linkage and maybe put a little bend in the rod going to the 205. Otherwise, no problem.
