So, I want to extend my front shackles just to give more clearance. If i extent them 2 inches, that will give me 1 inch over all in the front, correct? Then, do I need to shim my front axle to get the geometry right?

yep. it ur correct. and im not exactly sure on how much shim u need but you want to aim for stock caster angles which i believe is 5-6 degrees. im sure someone on here has 6" shackles and can tell u the right degree shim.

You'll need to measure your specific truck. Besides the driveline angle, you also have to consider the caster angle, or you'll risk steering issues.
