Have you guys bought from motor city k5 and is the shipping normally this high or is it an estimated price? I input my details and was ready to complete the transaction until I seen the shipping. All small components.

Price looks like you’re shipping a door

Shipping a window motor, the rivets for the vent window and door pins. I about dropped my phone looking at the price.

I just ordered some rotors, calipers, and brake pads from RockAuto and the FedEx shipping was $55.00.

Call them. It's probably taking into account the shipping if all of these were shipped seperately.

We have the same issue sometimes and it is a pain in the butt but easily fixable. Unless they're shipping from differnet spots.

Shipping sucks! I called my Napa Sat about some exhaust gaskets and they said they would have to order one in and shipping would be like $30 for a $15 gasket. I bought the entire turbo gasket set they had in stock instead.

That sucks about the gasket lmc truck was similar when I ordered some small parts.

I did send motor city an email with the order number and price so hopefully they figure it out. I need the window motor for my drive side. Lmc was unavailable with no backorder.

i like dealing with them. it's always the same guy(mark) and customer service is very good imho. i haven't noticed any outrageous shipping fees but shipping everywhere is pretty high so if they were a little higher, i may not have noticed. in your situation, it sounds like something was up and glad it got resolved. i think they are a good source for parts and i have had good luck with them

Shipping isn't cheap anywhere... that' seems a bit high but not crazy. I'd call them up

Shipping has gotten high and more complicated than ever. We've recently made some changes attempting to lower shipping amounts but it's a constant uphill battle. Just the time we have to put in to analyzing the bill every week is stupid, but if we don't we end up with corrections and charges that are incorrect and it's up to us to figure it out. I think there are some major discrepancies between shipping from large companies that roll our semi loads of freight every day and smaller places that roll out a cart or two. It's easy for people to think that everywhere they order from gets the same shipping deal as Summit Racing when it's definitely not the case.

Not writing it off as gouging right away and calling them was obviously the right way to get it fixed. As someone else mentioned, there are situations that websites just can't handle properly.

All in all dealing with them was good definitely saving the web site for future use.
