These are designed to fit as far outboard on the Dana 60 axle as possible. Welds to both the tube and the knuckle. A side benefit is the reinforcement for this area. 1/4" thick steel, 1/2" diameter hole.

Sold by the pair. You'll need two pair per axle. $3.00 per pair.

Can you show a pic of a pair installed. Currently my passenger side shock bracket on the axle is broke and needs fixing. Do these angle like the original or are they designed to be welded straight rearward?

They are designed to go straight up. Probably more of a buggy application or tubed front end. Could go with a shock hoop of sorts as well.

i'll try to get a picture. We put them on stompers truck I think....

Gee thanks, where were those 9 monthes ago? :wink1:

Well, let's see, 9 months ago they were probably at the foundry being made into the sheet that they came out of!:haha:

well what do you know? I need a set of these as my dana 60 came with no shock mounts. Are you reading my mind kert?

After a while of think about it i realized how you've designed them to be installed. Do you make any shock mounts for a D60 that would mount the shock in the original location? If so i could use some.

yeah, if you made a shock hoop for these that would allow for 15" travel shocks (52 swap) that would be sweet. Bolt in or weld in

Yes we did....

Your blazer has them too:whistle:

Do they need to be tilted at the same degree as factory?

I would assume so. I'd hate to buy a bracket to find out later that it won't work. There are still many guys running shocks in the stock location and those factory brackets are weak as hell and always end up breaking (not just on D60's either).

Kert, you got anything planned as far as upper shock mounts to use in conjunction with these lower mounts? Im thinking tubular hoop. I already have a pair of f-250 shock towers I was going to use, but a hoop would look much cooler ;)

I got something in mind. Haven't done a stitch of measuring for it though.

How quick ya need them?

I'm all about the shock hoop too, but with all the different lift heights and people moving the front axle forward in different increments, as well as those running 52's or 56's up front, how would you make the hoops work?

grrrrr... one more thing for the ever-growing list of stuff to order from Kert! doh! :thumb:
