87 blazer, 4 inch tuff country front (ez ride) with sway bar disconects, steering correction and brake lines, shackle flip in the rear with stock springs minus the overload.

I will measure once it all goes on, but how much travel can I expect with this setup??

Also, how safe (or retarded) is it to drive the truck with no shocks? If I install the lift at my place and want to drive to the nearest forklift / articulation ramp to measure for shock travel, can I do it??

I think you can find shocks listed for a 4-6" lift, not just straight 4". I think that might be your ticket.

I wouldn't expect more than 9" travel, but that's a guess based on my 52/56 setup that yields 12" total travel.

B_to_C has 12" travel shocks on a similar setup and they are plenty.

If you don't mind my highjacking a bit, short of using a forklift or articulation ramp, any suggestions on flexing out to measure for shocks?

If you have jackstands tall enough, try letting the axle full droop. Best if you can keep the wheels/tires installed because the extra weight will pull the axle down further.
