shock woes [new mounting idea]

Yeah I have a general idea of what I'm aiming for, but you really need to start with how much wheel travel you anticipate and how long of a shock you can fit lengthwise. Then with that you can determine what sort of a ratio you need. For me I plan on about 15" of travel and will probably stick to a 10" shock, so I need a 1.5:1 wheel travel:shock travel ratio. Since I don't have CAD or solidworks the options are graph paper or trial and error. I'm going to go with trial and error bc I feel like leaf spring and shackles will be hard to map on graph paper. I'm going to take my leafs apart, insert a block between the main leaf and axle, and be able to fully cycle them. Then use 1/8" plate and make a lever and start fine tubing it by trial and error.

Once I figure it out and can send you a cardboard template and my mounting points. Or, if want to cover the additional cost ill have the water jet cut extra levers for you and id be happy to tig weld them up for you. My k5 has stock length deavers with approx 5" of lift. What's your suburban setup with?

Hey MKuhn138,
I have SolidWorks and I'd be happy to help you run some virtual tests so you don't waste a ton of time on trial and error.

I would definitely like to do a setup like this on my truck in the future so anything I could do to help you fine tune I'd be glad to do.

Shoot me a PM and if you have some drawings already done even better.
