Shocks, longer up front or in back?

I purchased some shocks from 4wheel parts, es3000.
There gave me two kinds, 2 are maybe 15'' travel and 2 are maybe 12'' travel. All the hardware got mixed up and i just need to know where do the go? shorter up front or back etc?
I searched for the last 20 min and no results, thinking this might be a stupid questiona and thats why it wasn't asked


Also, since where on the subject of shocks, if i whanted to fab up one of those rear shock relocations, could i used the same shocks?

Yup that's right. I got all the same length shocks on accident once so I just went ahead put the Ford shock towers up front an solved the problem.
