I was wondering if insulating my evaporator core on my truck would help with that ac I notice a big difference with cold start to optimal temp that my ac temp also changed, I have all new parts and ac is charged no leaks

Sorry, I dont understand your question. What exactly is happening and what year vehicle do you have? Is it warm when its first turned on then gets cold or vice versa??
More details please

I believe op has much cooler ac when truck is cold. Maybe not as cool when warmed up.

1st check that the blend door is fully closed, hot air from the heater core may be mixing with your cool air from evap.
On the early squares the temp cable can be adjusted through glove box opening.

Thats what I was wondering. The blend door bracket/mechanism broke on mine right at the flap/door and for the longest time it wasnt closing properly bleeding warm heater/outside air.

Where you talking about adding one of those foam/foil insulators to the evaporator box and receiver/dryer can, like you see in some later model trucks?
