Show Me Your Garage

I've got the "stack-on" brand ones. They are knockoffs of whirlpools "gladiator" line that is slightly more expensive. Thats the fridge you are refering to. Whirlpool also sells knock offs of the "gladiator" line that are identical to the "stack-on" cabinets, under a name like "gladiator cadet" or somethig like that.
 
This is my most recent attempt of organizing my garage. I think I nailed it this time and I am pleased with most of it. The left side of the garage as seen in the pics looks a little different now but it's pretty close. And in the last pic you can see what I did to my shelving to keep the welding/grinding dust off my stuff as well as makeing the garage look cleaner. The doors are now on all the shelving and I used old box end wrenches for the knobs.:D

Don't have any good shots of the tool boxes and stuff but here is what I have on hand. I have allot of rearranging and cleaning to do when I get home. I have everything in storage mode right now.

if you need more room in your garage I would be glad to haul away that old junker Pontiac for you.

seriously though that is a saweet garage.... wish mine was big like that.... mine is 19x19 and when my truck was in the garage I could back it in and almost touch the wall and have 4" in front of it when the door was closed....

Its a "work in progress". 25' wide by 32' deep. 14' peak. The back wall will have 24" shelves, starting 8' up. Compressor goes under the workbench. I have some nice wooden kitchen cabinets I saved from a demo job, that will go above the workbench.

Still trying to decide on door layout. I have a nice man door(salvage). I just need to figure out whether to have one big overhead door, or two smaller ones.

Here is a peek at mine. It is 32x40 trussed so no supporting walls. I do have an office cornered off and the kids have some shelves for their toys. As soon as I can afford a small portable building I will get all the kid stuff out.

Nope when I say full, I mean full. It took twenty minutes of moving things to get in to work on the 2 S-10 Blazers I had in it.

:D My wife would love that. She hates the car. No class I tell ya:rolleyes: . I bought that before I left to replace my Mustang after I rolled it. Decided to go back old school again. Should have the body off and frame,suspension, and steering started on around October. Then it will be time to set in the 468 or 496 (haven't decided yet) depending on how money is at the time.

Yeah I know it's a Pontiac and I shouldn't do it, but they are all GM engines. And it was allot cheaper to build a stout Chevy than a Pontiac.

x3. I figured I would add my name to that list as well. Stick with the Arrowhead under the hood...don't go Bowtie. In the long run, if you ever decide to sell, will be worth a hell of a lot more.

Three reasons I won't use the Pontiac motor.

1. I am not spending an additional 2-3000 dollars to get the power out of my GTO engine that I have in my 468.

2. If I scatter the engine and damage the block I am screwed as far as originality.

3. I already have a built 468 out of another project I sold.

I also don't have the original numbers matching engine anyway. I do have the year correct engine and it is a YS engine with matching TH400 but just not numbers matching. I will rebuild and keep the Pontiac engine in case I do decide to sell though.

you can build it anyway you want, its your car, at least until I find out your address. :D As long as the motor you use is as big or bigger then the original no one has any room to talk. now if you had a 350 laying that you were gonna put in it. :mad:

About half way finished,

trying to put down half the slab next week, after that I can finish the front with some garage doors, going to miss the dirt , I don't mine working in there now, when I have some concrete I'll have to work back

My garage is way too small for american trucks. Blazer did fit in, but there was only about foot space if other bumber was against wall or door. In a pic there's about 2' in front of Suburban, but the rear is out from the door 3', garage doors open and covered with tarp. That engine hoist has 6' long legs, so it was PITA to move the engine in place, I had to move stuff all around the floor to make room for hoist :mad: Some day, I'll have much,much bigger garage :D
