I am.... was. I picked up one of the Mr Clean spot free car wash at the local autozone because it had a $5 rebate and was on sale for $17.88. Today being almost 50degrees outside; I sprayed down my Blazer and pops Yukon. I dont know if it the the cleaner or the fact the vehicles where extreamly dirty from this winter but as soon as the soap hit, it instantly turned grey. My white rag also turned black like never before! I took the 'wash pad on a stick' (yet another great invention for truck owners) and scrubbed the vehicles down and sprayed them off... switched over to the spot free setting and in about 30 minutes both trucks are sparkling clean and dried without a spot! /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

Now the bad things... The filter, you have to replace the first one right away, it only is suppost to last three washes. I'm guessing that first bottle of soap will last about as long. SO I guess I'll have to price the new 'big' filter and bottle of soap. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

ouch,$17+ for a car wash? I must be cheap. I just keep all the sided and top of the truck wet until I am ready to dry and no spots, but then my paint job sucks also...oh well.

In the end, whether or not the commercial is truth, i couldn't pay that much...so is this post padding? /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

Well their all absolutely true are'nt they? Truth in advertising, is about the same as everything you see on the net is true.

I saw an ad in which some little old lady was washing her dog in this doggie soap, and the little dog came out looking like new, so I bought some of that fine product, only to realize after I had bathed my dog, she was'nt new, she's still 13 year's old.

But she certainly smell's a helluva lot better. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The way i look at it I can't go threw the autowashes anymore so $6 a pop there or $18 to do it at home all summer /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

I had my doubts about that stuff, but wow! Nice looking rigs by the way. That is pretty amazing!

I like the supercharged Charger they use in the TV ad.

FuelSlut is sold on it, and they're crazy Floridians that wash their cars too much.

I don't think it'll do my paint any good.

I had a company that sells water filters for the whole house, one big unit. he put this filter on and wash one glass with ivory soup and the filtered water and it dried without spots and it tasted like bottled water. He showed the difference in my city water without his filter and then with it and I couldnt believe the difference. only if I had the extra 4 grand. I am guessing it would be the same for the car wash.

We live on the edge of town so no city water. We have a water softener then under the kitchen sink we have one of those water filters (I still use my brita water filter to keep water in the fridge) So our water is filtered/treated once, then filtered and then the brita, it tastes prety close to bottled water. /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

i want to know were they found the same super charger that mad max used, you know the one that runs of a switch instead of the crank. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gifto /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

It has become relatively common to use an electric clutch to disengage the supercharger when not in use. Pretty much means "boost on demand" but it makes bypassing the roots in the blower a new chore.
