anyone know ? nut that holds output shjaft yoke on back of 203 case '70's ?
like 1 1/4" ?
i think its 1 3/16 i have no idea why that sticks out in my mind but it does.
If i was home, i'd check for you /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
I just happen to need the same question answered.I am having the same problem, i need to find a socket big enough to get mine off as well
oh and what is the front third of the 203 case called, the front 1/3 that bolts to end of tranny and that is front of the chain case part of the case? is itt the range box ?
Yes, that portion is the range box. I believe the nut size is 1 3/16" like zakk said.
ok, cool, thanks /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
reasd here and says 1 5/16" nut, humm.
thats what i got my $ on is 1 5/16
but it may even be a 1 1/8 ""
also ya need the 1/2 " drive as the 3/4 drive scockets walls are to thick to fit in the yoke hole
the large kit from 1 inch up to 1 1/2 " by 16ths is a great investment if ya can swing it
as they are all commonly needed sizes for ball joints and 208 & 241 t case drain and fill plugs and yoke nuts for axles and t cases
yep is 1 5/16" for sure, i just got case complete disassembled, yokes werent bad to get off at all i used a huge pipe wrench to hold yokes and went for it, the front yoke nut is 1 and an 1/8"
with large flat round(square on trans case, round on CV shaft flange) 4 bolt style yoke
