I have a SM465 NP205 combo that I might get rid of. Whats the going rate?
Wrong forum, this goes in the "For Sale" /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
Uhhh... yeah but its not for sale. I was just wondering what the hell it is worth.
I've seen them go for anywhere between $250 - $500 depending on condition and completeness. However, I'll take it off your hands for free and leave a 12 pack of your choice! /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
is the 205 fixed or slip?
whats the price difference between the fixed and slip setup? ball park... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Is there anyway I can tell by looking at it? Its out of my a 75 heavy half.
If it is original it will be a fixed yoke. A slip yoke wasnt used on the 205 until 1980.
Also if you look at the tcase it is easy to tell. The fixed yoke is held onto the tcase with a nut and the ujoint attaches to the yoke. The slip yoke slides onto the output shaft between the shaft and a seal (like on a 2wd auto tranny or NP208 tcase).
Fixed it is.
