oh yea sure ill get right on it....i dont ever want to haul it that far again...i bought it in Phenoix and never did anything with it...i just about killed myself comein down the tahippis....my trailer brakes on the trailer i borrowed decided not to work and i burned up the brakes on the blazer trying to get slowed down from 70 mph...it was some scary [censored]...the trailer was swaying back and forth and the trailer tires were lifting off the ground and then whipin the truck all over the place....not a good experiance at all!

Well, two more days!! I got the rear cage all done last night, all I have to do is throw some paint on there and it's set! Came out real nice!! I have three pallets and some other wood so far, but cutting it apart is going to be fun - I think I might have broken my finger last night at softball. The nail is going to be coming off soon, and the first inch and a half of my middle finger is all black and blue, hurts like a b*tch!! But, I will get my brother to help me...

A little more maintenance and I will be set to go...can't believe I agreed to meet at 6AM on a Friday! ha,ha just kidding Esteban (sounds like you will be up all night!)

You don't need your middle finger to 4x4, except when someone ticks you off!

Now that I have brakes and the truck seams to be happy with the front end unlocked, I feel a bit better about rolling over there saturday and checking it out. What time in the morning is everyone rolling out on Saturday so I don't find an empty lot? I'll try and fix the first 4 in 4x4 by then but if not, oh well.

What, Me Worry?

A couple people have said that they would be showing up by 9:00 AM on Saturday morning, so I think we will probably wait for them to join us first. We can always play around in the general vicinity of camp before 9:00, but I think we will try to be fair to the people who are coming in Saturday. So, for all of you who have said you are coming Saturday, please be there by 9:00 or so, ok? If you are coming Saturday, and will not be there by 9:00, let me know...we will work something out!

one less day...

I might not be up all night after all. I just got in from packing all of my crap.......I mean gear and wood in the truck. And filling both axles with fresh oil. I made a nice shelf for the clock to set on so I should be good. The only thing I need now is groceries. Maybe I'll be in bed by 10pm tomorrow nite. Probably not something always comes up at the last minute. Like Leland said, Sleep is overrated anyways.

I am still trying to set up some type of bikini top for my Blazer to keep the sun off me. I made a alm. frame that bolts into existing holes for the hard top and thurs I am going to attach a piece of vinyl w/ snaps to it and bungie cord the back. All the food shoping is done I just need to load all the camping gear and I'm set.

So i get in yesterday, and my turn signal lever is floping around, what the fu....? so to make it better it flops around while im driving and honks the horn. I used to drive a bus that did that, honked the horn when turning the wheel with the signal on, So i guess i might be pulling the Steering wheel off tonight, i mean, i don't want to be honking at you guys all weekend.

Oh and Sleep IS overrated, if i get any between now and 6:00 tomorow i'll be suprised. Gotta grease everything, put in a new Oil pressure gauge, (still running low at idle and want to be sure), fix the turn signal, buy food, load the truck, go crazy, find a cup for beer, forget the body lift for Esteban and have to go back, fill it with gas, bang my head against some part of my truck, oh yeah new trans mounts, bust a knuckle on something, and do my laundry........Forgive me if im grumpy in the morning!

You guys are scaring me! I am hoping to just top off all of the fluids tonight, but now I am sure something will come up! I was telling keith about my front driveshaft that almost came off in my hand the other night! I greased up the u joints and the front shaft splines, and like usual, I gave it a grab to make sure it was tight - holy sh*t, the thing almost came off at the t-case flange end! One bolt was gone, one was just hanging there, and the other two were starting to come out!! Got me some Loctite, a new bolt and tightened them suckers down!! Damn, that would have been a nice surprise out there!

Yeah, groceries and packing everything - looks like a fun night...but well worth it! And everyone remember to bring your toilet paper!!

you mean I have to buy food, camping gear, chair, beer cup, ice, change the oil, check the suspension, drivetrain, and tires. i guess i have a lot to do. All i was planing on was checking that loud bang that i hear everytime i turn and hit a bump, I still have to find out where it's coming from.

Ah, the joys of owning a 4x4! But it wouldn't be the same without would it?? My friends with new trucks are always laughing at me and asking why I am always working on my Blazer, they can't believe that I go through all that work every time I take it out...but you know, it's just part of the tradition now. It's funny, my little brother would always sit there and watch me doing all the lubing, filling fluids, tightening things up, packing spare parts of all kinds - and now that he has his own 4x4, he is doing the same thing!

Maybe we will all take a nap tomorrow when we get there?? ha,ha
