i wish more people posted more intresting things here ;D
I agree some kind of greet and meet setup would be cool!
The K5 has seen better days in the north east, a lot of people sold their trucks do to rust and frequent break downs; plus the heavy duty upgrades really cost a lot of money. I was planning on building my new one up as a dual duty truck, but decided to build a tube chassis based rig or possibly a TJ that I can use as a platform for making parts.
With that said, the new rig will have the following parts installed in it.
GM203 & GM205 joined together by an ORD Doubler.
Dana 60 with 5.13's, ARB, Full Hydro
14 bolt ff, 5.13's, detroit, disc brakes
DIY4X beadlocks with my own design for the rings.
Plus some more junk too.
in the spring i will be hosting another meet and greet at mount mapes.......
this time i will make sure the trees are more full size friendly......
.....and for chris i will have the "notch" ready for him
Im working on getting a suburban frame with the drive train minus motor and trans so i can build a buggy.... but that after i figure out how i am gonna store this thing..
My Plans for my 73
500 Caddy Bored 40 over ( just needs a quick rebuild)
Dana 60 ( No real hurry for this )
14 Bolt FF (Dont have yet)
SM465 (Have somehwere at a friends shop got the bell housing gotta drill the crank from the 500 caddy to make it work)
250 (Aslo somwhere at a friends shop)
Spring Swap (Back to front)
8" Lift ( No hurry 4 is fine)
I want this to be fully functional but be a mall cruiser just because I love this thing so much no matter how much money i put into it.
I will definately try and make this one. I was originally trying for Blazer Bash, but I quicky saw that as no possibility. Should be done Phase 2 by beginning of February.
