We just recently installed a pro-comp lift in a 98 two door Tahoe. Since then, the ride is very soft. Almost scary soft when driving at highway speeds. Has anyone else ran in to this? We were thinking maybe replacing the tortion bars with some from a 3/4 ton. Or, does anyone know of a good aftermarket source for beefier tortion bars? Or, am I on the wrong track all together?

Front suspension seems soft? Crank the tbars a little, see if that stiffens it up.

Or did you get new rear springs? I agree with cranking the torsion bars a bit. Sounds to me you now have too little preload on the bars.

No new rears. Shackle flip on the back. I'll try crankin em up.. And ideas on how much more would be a good starting point?

When I did my lift on my 97, I measured the truck before, and after, and then adjusted the bars to right around the 4" drop the lift gave me. I remeasured after driving for a while. I would adjust yours up about an inch and see how it drives (you are going to need an alignment at soem point). How does the truck sit now? Level or a bit high in the rear?

did you happen to take off the front sway bar? my friend has a burban with ifs and 6" lift and just for kicks took it off...and that thing is scary soft and body roll like crazy with it off.i guess its an ifs thing, he has superlift if that matters.

As it sits right now, its a little lower in the front. Less than an inch probably, but lower. And, the sway bar is still on. We almost ditched it but since it sees a lot of highway time we decided to keep it.
