SOLD Timbren for Bump stops SOLD

I didn't!! They are new. I was going to run them from the frame to the axle. Saw the idea over on pirate. A lot of Jeepers run them.

I've actually thought about them for the front of The Blazer.

Poor now. I'll do some measuring and bug you later if you have them and I can use them.

They work awesome as bumpstops. I have several freinds who run em.

76Zimmer runs em on his rig, they are on his build thread

Need more than just bolting them on to run them?

Its best to run a ring on the base to keep the timbren from squishing out, they were designed to work in a straight line. Most of what I have seen is a peice of pipe that is just bigger than the compressed dimension ( width) about a 1/4" high around the base where they hit, but I have also seen them run without those with good success, just depends on how severe the angle is when the timbren hits the base

Thinking about just running them in the front in place of the stock bumpstop. Just basically to keep my stockish front suspension from wanting to bottom out so hard and fast if I hit the smallest bump with any speed.

AJ, I think they will bolt on in place of the stockers, not sure about height comparison, but mine compress to almost 1/2 the height of uncompressed measurement. I have hit mine many times, and there has been no harsh stop with them. I also do not have a retainer ring as Eric mentioned, and they seem to be fine by the footprint they leave on my spring plates...Here is my setup of them:

Poor man's air bumps was my thought.

Grinch, I'll let ya know.

Finally managed to measure and I think they should fit the stock suspension setup. Have a quandry though:

Right now I have the stock front spring plates with the big hump thing in the middle (I think for the stock bumpstops to hit?) and ORD's sway bar disconnects attached to them. The sway bar disco's "free" bracket is attached to the passenger side bumpstop mount as well.

Any thoughts on the OEM spring plate as a "landing pad" and those items in close proximity to these?
