I picked up a 1972 Jimmy today and i have a few questions.

I believe it has a 2 piece double wall top, what are the + /- compared to a one piece single wall?

The top radiator hoses {has stock metal tube-2 hose setup} are needing replaced. I hate universal flex hoses! What are my options?

It has a factory posi that seems to work correctly but I had a first gen Blazer years ago with a factory { I think } posi that spun out on me in the snow for no real reason. Your opinions on factory posi units?

Looks like a pretty solid rig to start with, good find!

The double wall tops have the bed bolts coming in from the bottom and like to sag. The single wall tops have the bed bolts come in from the top and tend to hold their shape better.

If I remember correctly the upper radiator hose you need is a NAPA # 7368 but it could be a 7459 or a 7575.

The factory Eaton style limited slip works ok and seems to hold up fairly well and are easy to rebuild, but it could have been replaced with a gov-lok during it's life so pull the cover and see what you actually have.

Thank You.
Although it does have some rust there is none in the windshield header, the torsion boxes are in really good shape and the rear floor / tailgate area is rust free.

The OEM upper radiator hose was just a curved pipe ,with two short straight sections of rubber hose joining it to the radiator and thermostat housing on the first generation K5's and 67-72 pickups..

I remember when I had my '72 K5,I went through some hoses at the parts store I worked at,and found one for a 1970-74 Monte Carlo or Chevelle was a perfect fit...(I think I may still have the OEM pipe in my parts heap)..
