Look what showed up at my garage and landed on my engine stand, 260 hp 350:D. The one on the stand and the goodies and the table will go in my 84 Jimmy. And the one you can see in the corner will be going in my 83 Blazer, it's a crate engine also (ho 305) that i got from my friend who bought it new and wrecked his rig with only 8,000 easy miles on the motor. So that will replace the oil burning 305 that's in there now:waytogo:
So i have some wrenchin to do, anyway thought i would share.

Love the valve covers! I want some of those for my truck.

That will keep you busy for a little bit. Hope everything goes smoothly. Don't expect to have all the parts you need!

FYI, I don't think I would waste my time pulling the oil pan and timing cover just to change the color of the timing cover which will be 80% covered up.

As far as the HO 305 crate, i remember when he ordered it. It was a step up in power compared a non HO if it made any difference.......meh. It worked great in his rig for pulling his boat anyway, ran strong.
As far as the timing cover, it came with the easy kit. I pulled the pan already to check things out. So i can't just let the new one set on the shelf........ she's going on.
As far as the 305 to 305 swap, simple economics $350.00 bucks for a great low mile engine that i personally know the history of. The rig it's going in is no heavy duty wheeler anyway it's in to good of shape to abuse, so not to worried about extra power. Just want a dependable good running motor, for towing my boat......thanx for the comments, Roger.

Thanks......she looks good now but she will be a dirty one before long. Hard to keep up with bling when you use your rig. Can't wait to drop it in, got to pull the other motor first. So i need to bust a move and get to wrenchin!
