This is for my Tracker, no square bodies in the stable presently.

Anyway, the front windows on these are famous for binding and pulling towards the front. The regulator cables stretch and the clamp on the glass shifts. I've repaired and worked around those but now the issue is the soft rubber that the windows ride up and down in has gotten "grabby" due to drying out with age and getting dirty and gritty.

Any thoughts on fixing this? New window channel rubber for these is very expensive so I'd like to avoid that but find something better than spraying oil down the tracks every week.

Anybody like the 303 products?

Silicone spray is what I have used...seems to work best for me on old dried up rubber & felt window channels...
--just keep it off the paint,or you'll have a hard time if you ever go to repaint it!..fish-eye city!..

Might have to give the silicone a try. Got a can of it somewhere.

works good and also keeps rubber seals from drying out and ripping. Used to have to do it on all windows, doors and trunk area when worked for Honda.

I think all of my lubes and oils are in a crate about 20' back in my storage unit. :doah:

Finally picked some up and used it. Much mo' beta' now. Think a couple more applications would make it better or just make a big mess?
