I have seen these in ads for awhile now and just saw one on a newer dodge crewcab last week and it looked pretty good. Not a bad idea. Even thought about one for my '72 K5.

I really like the tire gate stuff. Only problem is there pricy as hell. I looked into them, contacted them. I don't like the .095 wall tube they use either. Would rather it be .120 wall tube, atleast with big tires most of us run. I thought about copying one of their designs but with 1 3/4 X.120 wall DOM tube. But I have come up with my own tire carrier design and am in the building stage of it now. As far as looks, the tire gate stuff looks bad ass though, especially the pre-runner design.
