So we are going to use rust bullet on our frame. I have never sprayed before and it looks like it should be simply enough. I do not foresee us spraying a lot, but want to show my students quality and cost effectiveness. So a quick search I found this at HF... It has good online reviews. I am a little concerned that they are not heavy duty/real industrial strength but for the price if we get a few good uses I think they will have paid for themselves.

What do you think? Other alternatives?

or this one?

Im not sure how thick the rust bullet comes but the tip size on thos is around 1.4 and you need to run about 50 psi to get good atomization.

many primers and other types of sprays like that can take anywhere up to a 2.2 tip gun

eastwood has a few that are in the 100$ range. the harbor freight gun is good for base/clear or very thin primer. much heavier solids than that and it dosent atomize as well

Edit: looked at the link again. I think you can get away with a 1.8 tip and thinning it down.

The info says that the rust bullet is about thickness of 90w oil. I did not think about tip size. I will double check with rust bullet as well. I know they say that we need to be running around 50-60 psi...

thanks
