Sputters for a sec when put to the floor?

If I'm driving and I stomp on the gas it will kinda die for a second then really pick up. I was curious what I could adjust to fix it. It is a Goodwrench 350, and a Quadrajet carb. Thanks

First, check the basics.

Fuel filter
bad gas
kinked fuel line
etc..


rule out fuel supply probs by ensuring that you have enough volume of fuel being delivered first. You have a 50% chance of finding the prob there.

Then look for "fire" probs

plugs
wires
spark

do wuick check of coil rest of ignition system.

If you don't rule out the basics, you will make adjustments to the carb w/out fixing the prob and perhaps making things worse.

Start w/the basics. 90% of the time....that's the prob.
