Hey guys. I have a problem with the starter, well not really the starter, the Bolt hole (not sure what you call it ear, tab....)on the block split. It is a 350 and broke off now there is nothing to hold the starter up except the other bolt. Has this happened to you all before. i dont have the piece that broke off. So welding it back on is out. Is there any way to fix it.

Only way that I can think of is to weld and build it up, then drill and tap a new hole.

Welding a block is not easy. Do you have two starter bolt holes? The are two types of starters that will work, it might be possible to use the other type if you have the hole for it.

Not sure if it has the other hole or not will check in the morning. Thanks for the responses guys.
