I know you specifically put a **** load of research into your front ends steering geometry so I think this may be a simple scenario for you. In the front of my street truck I want to do a manual rack conversion. This is a gmt400 of the 94 flavor thats 2wd if you've never seen my thread. No one offers a rack which is no issue, I can get a rack in the front of my truck my self no problem.

My concern lies with steering geometry. Does the width between the inner tie rod end have any affect on steering geometry? I know keeping everything in line with minimal angle like everything on a suspension is best to avoid drastic length changes with angles aka bump steer. The ackerman and steering characteristics are all really built into the balljoint relations and the caster no?

I'll elaborate further when not on my iPhone but moving points need to line up. Tie rods to a arms etc. everything needs to be parallel as well.
