My rag joint coupler that is splined and attaches to the steering box on one end and bolts to the steering shaft on the other is loose, the rivets that hold the rubber disc aren't loose, but the disc around them is. Is there any way to change just the disc, or should I change the whole coupler? The coupler is available from a few online sources that stock discontinued GM parts for $47, its discontinued from GM, you have to buy the whole shaft. Anyone using an aftermarket shaft?

Just use a heep XJ steering shaft. Search to find out info on it.

jeep xj shaft swap. its easy to do i just did one. should have done it a long time ago.

  • p.s. look in the tech section. big writeup on it.
