I read a post that you were doing the 1" ORD body lift this weekend and my ? is about the 9012 front shock conversion. When you put the shock towers on did you have to notch the lip on the firewall for clearance for the towers before the body lift? I know that Boss had to notch the lip on his truck before the body lift but on the UAV it looks like it clears. If you could take some pics of the top of the truck looking down on the towers I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Didn't get a chance to do the body lift this weekend, and yes you have to notch the inner fender just a little, there should be pics on the Rancho review page.

I cut my wheel tub before i put the tower on, I never clued in that Steve doesnt have a body lift and I have 3". I could have gotten away with just a little trim instead of the big cut like Steve did. But I still needed to notch it a bit even with the 3" body lift, so you will definately have to with the 1". BTW, thanks Steve, they are great! It gave me an RTI of 906 and I havent done the rear yet.

I think you have misunderstood my ?. I know the inner fender has to be trimmed but I am talking about the body seam on the firewall. By the answer you gave and the write up on the conversion I would say you probably did not have to cut it like Boss did.

Yes, I cut and pounded flat the body seam on the fire wall, check the pics: http://coloradok5.com/fendercut
