I'm gutting the interior and dash so I can start cage, dash and wiring. there is some sticky plastic stuff where the floor mats go- underneath the carpet stuck directly to the floorboard, I was able to pull and scrap about half of it off, my next move tomorrow is to try heat, I was just wondering if anyone had any tricks or has even encountered this, also while on the subject I'm looking for different ideas to coat the floor, I was thinking about hammerite, I want to leave the bare painted floor (no carpet or rubber) so I'm looking for something durable but on the cheap too.

I removed it out of my old blazer once upon a time and when I applied heat and tried scraping it I swear it multiplied greatly in size and aggravation. That was the biggest, stickiest mess I'd ever been able to make. I eventually just let it all cool and harden back up and ripping it out with my hands. Good luck to ya!

Just did this on my floor what a pain. Heat gun works with a scraper. But I found a flap wheel worked wonders on it :waytogo:.
