I need to replace the front leaf springs on my Five along with the shocks. I have used OFFROAD DESIGN in the past and was going to go to them. My wife likes the stock height for access and fairly decent ride.

What are your thoughts on going with the 2 inch lift? I also plan on going with a 30 or 31 inch tire.

Should be able to fit 31 inch tires without a lift, some factory quality new springs should bring the truck up a little too

Honestly, I think mine is too tall. If I had it to do over again I would keep it lower too. Of course it depends on how you use it, but for most mild off road stuff, no reason for a big lift.
Not sure if you'll need some lift to clear the 31s but if you stick to just 2" I doubt the wife will be too upset.

I had a 2" skyjacker lift and 33s on stock 15x8 rims on mine and the tires never rubbed. IMHO it was a great combo for a street oriented truck that saw occasional trail rides (cruising the beach to go fishing in my case). Bad back and knees kept me from wanting to climb up into a taller truck. I went up to 35s later. They fit after they knocked out the rusted fender corners. I only wished for a 4" lift after I tried some modest rock crawling and tagged a rocker.

I want to thank all for your input. I think I will contact ORD and get the stock replacements. I will post pics once it is installed.

33 inch tires can go on most stock K5's as long as your springs aren't damaged. It looks a little better with about a 2 inch lift but it doesn't look horrible without. Not the best photos but here is mine stock with some worn out 33's... If your stuff is in good shape its ultimately a matter of your preference and budget.

2.5" lift rides great but with 33s it's a very little hop to get in (I'm 5'10" but have a toddler under my arm half the time getting in). I have the Tuff country / ORD setup. Also have a new set of 6" Tuff country springs and a flip kit and 56s sitting in the garage that may never go in because I like it the way it is so much. It sits at the same cab height as all the new 4x4 trucks on the dealer lot but with 6 more inches of ground clearance

It's the beauty of a Straight axle and simple drive train. No IFS stuff in the way.

I talked to ORD today and I am gonna go with the 2 inch lift for the front and 2.5 shackle flip in the rear. Plus all new shocks.
I will most likely go with 31's too. I have to give the Five some love!

I think you'll love it when you get done. If I had to buy tires today I would put the 32/11.5/15s or 33/10.5/15 on it instead of the 33/12.5/15s they just look a hair too wide on the stock rally rims for my taste but I'm a pizza cutter sort of guy I guess.
