I got some 4" lift 56" rear springs thinking I was gonna add a couple of inches to the rear wheelbase. I guess they just added the legth to the rear of the spring!!

anyone ever run em backwards? it looks to me like the pinion angle will end up pointing way down:doah: I just wanna stretch it a few inches!! ne suggestions?

I did search backwards/ reversed 56" springs but mostly got info on running shackle flips back wards..

what if I redrill the hole for the center pin in the middle of the spring pack?

You can change wheelbase that way but you risk breaking the spring (holes that aren't exactly the spring plate are very likely to break) and good luck drilling through spring steel, its harder than just about every drill bit out there.

well crap!!! the original plan was 4" springs up front, zero rate to push the front axle forward 1 1/2", and extended shackles to net about 5 1/2" inches of lift.

and put 56"s in the back with a 2 1/2" shackle flip netting about 6 1/2" lift.

maybe I'll just run a zero rate out back and relocate the factory tension shackle?

I don't know, a link set up is looking real good right now!! I'm wanting to do all this while I have the frame out and painted...

you could put the 56's on the rear with a zero rate to move the axle back to where you want it.

Not the best side shot but it'll give you an idea. This has ORD 2.5" flip, 4" lift 56's backwards (bottom overload removed) and a Zero Rate offset 1" rearward.

An option other than the zero rate is the perches from Kert. They have 1" and 1.5" offset holes to relocate the axle and don't provide additional lift if thats what you need. I just put them on my 14B because my heigth was good but wanted a little more wheelbase.

could you splain me a little more better please? :D

I think thats exactly what I'm looking for!!!

The perches from DIY4X.com

They have the offset holes like a zero rate, but without the lift.
