The Spicers appear to have more meat in the drive gear area to begin with, so removing material to make room for the larger 35-spline shafts does not affect them nearly as much as the Warn versions. You hear about people breaking 35-spline Warns on a semi-regular basis, but I doubt you will hear many people say they broke a modified Spicer. Of course some of that may be due to the fact that there are not nearly as many Spicer 35-splines hubs out there. I do know that with the guy running these they were just about the only part he had not replaced or upgraded due to breakage.
Damn straight. If you want 35 spl lockouts- run broached Spicers. If not, run flanges. I hate breaking cheap junk, which is what Warn (and any other cheap ars pot metal) lockouts are, IMO.
