I've done it,it's not very hard. Remove the injector, unscrew glowplug, break off glow plug, and pull it out the hole. Lots of ways to get it out of the hole. I clamped it with a pair of hemostats.
When I had my 6.2 blazer two snap off on me. I Just put the new ones on and it didnt have an adverse affect on the motor, not saying i would recomend it but if your really stuck it might be worth a shot.

They are a device that doctors use during surgury,they look like a pair of sissors with needle nose pliers on the ends instead of cutting blades--you probably have seen them used on "Mash" ,or Cheech and Chong,they used them for roachclips!
I'm not sure about unscrewing a glow plug and starting it up to "blow" them out!!--if anyone else is brave enough to try it,let me know if it works!!
And I would DEFINATELY not start my truck with a broken glow plug tip floating around in the cylinder--that CANT do anything but mash it into your valves and piston,and I'm sure at least SOME destruction would occur!!
I'd take out my injector to replace my "stuck" glow plug,but I think the injector lines wont survive being removed and bent out of the way--and I'm not about to break them when I'm broke,they are very costly,hard to get, and you have to pull the intake off to change them(it looks like ALL of them would have to come off too!)--since I need the truck to plow,I'm not going to attemt removing that glow plug until spring,if I ever do it at all!....
