Just need a second to vent.
My brother had a beat up '76 caddy with a 500ci and a th400. He hadn't driven it for a year or so (he was away at college, then bought an econobox), and eventually with no luck selling it, gave in to me begging for that torque beast semi-perfect motor. I had started some research on the transplant to my K5, and one day at a family barbecue, my mom says, "Oh, did you hear your brother finally sold his caddy?" Uh, you mena the one that has the motor promised to me in trade for my Heep?
Turns out he made a deal with a PAB to take the car and give him $500 when he came up with some money.
It is now 3 or 4 weeks later, my brother still has recieved no money, the PAB bought a little sissy box (phatty phat corolla or something), the caddy has been parked at a nursing home for 2 weeks, and the kid now says he doesn't want the caddy and is giving it back instead of giving my bro money. I was a little psyched at THAT news, figured my bro better get at least $100 for rent and "re-stocking" fees...
Now he just told me he heard from the kids friends that the motor is now beaten half to death (runs and smokes bad).
My brother has a signed document from the kid that says he will pay $500 for the car by like 7/10 or something. My brother is now pursuing the $500 and not the car back after hearing about the motor.
I want to rip this little a-hole's head off. Destroying the motor, then not taking responsibility for it?!?! Running to mommy and daddy to get a new car quick???? I don't think so. My bro's a moron for letting the car go without having cash in hand, too, but this kid needs a lesson taught about wrecking something then trying to pawn off the problem, especially fine American metal like that, that I could've used...
Anybody wanna join a PAB-smashing posse??
Thanks, just needed to vent where I know it'd be understood.
