Stupid little rod issue.. please help

So the bright idea worked getting the rod loose! The problem now is that the end of the rod has a huge weld bubble on it and the rod wont come out of the hole.
Best way to get weld bubble off???

Thanks

I was thinking about that. Recommendations on a pump to get? I am sure I can wire and plumb one up in a second but I need one that I can get at a local parts shop. No Time!!!

DO NOT get the Mr Gasket universal pump when i worked at Oreillys we had more of those come back than you would believe

Master fuel pumps makes one...part# E8012S or E8016S...cant remember right offhand which one is which but one has 2-4 psi and the other is like 7-9psi

Can you post up a pic?

I will take a pic tonight. All nighter tonight.

I think I got the pump your talking about. I got the 7-9PSI one. It looks like a screw pump not a diaphragm pump.

If you've got a blob of weld keeping the rod from going out the hole then you're going to need to use a dremel tool inside the fuel pump opening to grind some of the material away. Probably going to need to use a long shank in order to get in there.

Funny story...

I did exactly that and the end of the dremel broke off and fell under the rod!!! Plated it off and got an electric fuel pump. Leaving at 6 tom morning to move so I couldnt deal with it now.

The fuel pump hole doesn't go into the timing area at all on any SBC or BBC.
