Can anyone advise whether the stock wheels (as pictured below) off a 1989 Suburban will fit on a 1991 GMC Jimmy. These are the taller Suburban wheels and tires, that typilcally come on the 4x4 HD models. They have the Silver hub caps. I think the wheel size is 16.5? Not sure the lug pattern. a gentleman in my area is parting out the 1989 Sub, and I always liked the look of those stock "tall" wheel and tires onthe suburbans. I have a 4 inch lift with 35 X 12.50 on my Jimmy, but may want to down size tires. Not sure what tire size is on the Suburban.

Thanks

Actucally there is no such thing as a HD model, but there is a 3/4 ton. If the rims are 16.5" then they will have an 8 lug pattern and work work with stock axles on a K5 which is 6 lug. You can always swap the axles from the Burb to the K5, which should get you a 14b rear and 10b front. THe front is a 1/2 ton rated axle, just 8 lug outers. The rear is a one ton axle (I think, I might be wrong).

Burb would have a 14 bolt semi floater in it.. 3/4 ton.

Those wheels and tires would not fit on a K5 if they are from a 3/4 ton burb...

If they are the original wheels that came on the 'burb then they will be 16" versions.....GM and most other companies stopped offering 16.5's as a factory option long before '89.

But as already mentioned they are most likely 8-lug, again assuming they are the stock wheels and the 'burb has the stock axles which would all be 8-lug.
