Hey guys, I just picked up a center console out of an '88 Surburban for cheap, cheap, cheap. I test fit it in the Blazer ('88 as well) and the front lines up but it doesn't drop down far enough in the back to meet up with the factory holes. Was the console for the blazers actually shaped different in the back or is there another bracket that I don't have (mine never came with a console so I don't have any reference)? I was probably just going to get some square tubing and fill in the gap, but I'm still curious as to if they were actually different.

This may have been answered before, but I didn't find anything in the search.

its been a long time since i took my center consul out but if i remember correctly there is a bracket up front.

I know for sure in my 89 blazer there is a bracket and IIRC its on the rear of the console.

Yes, there is an offset bracket in the rear. I have one here that came off of a console that I put in a Suburban.

So the console is the same, the difference is just a bracket included for installation in the Blazer? Do you have a use for the spare bracket or would you be willing to part with it? :deal:
