i think my tranyn is dead...... i was jsut skipping. then i went out to drive, and wouldnt shift out of 1st gear at all
then it wouldnt get in gear.
i hit the gas... engine rev... but no go. if i do go. its no where fast.
i talked ot my dad and hes no expert, but we think its dead.
any help on signs of a dead tranny?

Could be many things. Could be the bands in the tranny just need to be adjusted. I'd try and check that out before anything. My cousin had the exact same problem in his car once. We changed the tranny fluid and filter and it worked fine and never had a problem again. I'd try the easy stuff first before getting too extreme.

Disregard that last post. I just read about the tranny problems you were having in the earlier post. You tranny is cooked. My tranny did the exact same thing yours did and I had to have mine rebuilt. Sorry it couldn't be something less, but your tranny is definitely shot. Sorry bro!
