I am about to get a '87 parts truck with a good 350 TBI and a good 700R4. IIRC '87 blazer's had an NP208. Since this is going in my '90 Jimmy, it would be nice to keep my NP241 since I have the electronic speedo (no speedometer cable). The question is is this a straight swap? Can I just pull the 350 and 700R4 from the '87 and mate with my NP241 for a nice and easy swap? Did the output shaft spline count change between these years? My big problem is the 350 and 700R4 in my '90 is shot and need rebuilding so if I don't have to rebuild the tranny it would be sweet. Thanks for any help.
