From my research these have been known to be one of the best 12v electric compressors, although my towrig came with a viair and seems to do ok for light duty use.

I picked up the heavy duty VIAIR used last year for less than half price of a new one. pretty happy with it. 5 minutes of wiring it in and it was ready to go.

Remember to get a 100% duty cycle pump.

That's the key. The one in the OP was only 25% duty cycle.

Fill up a set of 35" tires from 8psi to 35psi, with a 25% duty cycle pump....
Even the 100% duty cycle pumps die after a few years of hard use.

Id get a compressed air tank....
My buddy runs an industrial one on his Dodge tow rig, and he NEVER loses pressure.
He also NEVER has to refill the tank.

He's been using his for months now, on the initial fill.
Plumbs the same way as a pump-driven OBA system.

If I recall correctly around 1200 but I know I've seen them somewhere for under 1000
