are there any kits such as the tbi switch from edlebrock? how much better mileage could you get from it?
I don't want to sell my burb because of gas mileage.:( but the size, turning radius, and the gas might tempt me to sell it when i go to college (downtown austin is a B!@+ch, especially in five o' clock traffic.)
i was also planning on vortec heads and other various things.

Howell and a couple of others sell conversion kits but prepare to spend a bundle ($1200 and up). Howell's MPFI starts at 1700 big ones. Tbi setups can been had fairly inexpensively from bone yards, epay, etc. for a lot less.

This is debateable, but a well tuned carb should get about the same mileage as a tbi but this will drift with elevation, age, temperature and motor wear. If where talking about a worn carb motor compared to a tbi motor...I've heard 1-2 mpg difference without other mods (spacer, headers, high flow exhaust, etc).
