Synthetic Winch Rope??

The one thing I would look for is if its Dyneema rope that its atleast SK75 graded. Thats the standard for winch rope. the industry is moving on to sk78 is some places but SK75 is the minimum most people would trust. If they are saying its a dyneema rope they should be saying the grade as well

if you look you can see the gap right where the D ring & winch plate meet the > outer part of the bumper = Bang Bang on the trail make it go crack...

I'm gonna pull the it, fix reweld and switch to rope :saweet:

View attachment 369851 What's the thought on these hella pricy do-dads they call winch rope shackle or similar =

Is this some kinda "jeep thing" or are they valid on function?

I’ve been gathering parts to swap to rope on my 8274. I bought a Splicer thimble from Factor55, it’s super nice. The one I got has a channel all the way around the shackle loop so the rope goes around the loop and back out for splicing, seemed like it would be strong since the load pressure will be through the whole piece rather than just a pin. Sounds good in my head, we’ll see one day.
