Does a '96 Tahoe have a 4l60e? Is it just a electric shift 700? Will a passenger side drop np241c bolt up to it? What does the "c" stand for?I'm trying to plan to do a SAS on it and have a passenger side D60 and np241c and don't want to buy a ford D60. Please let me know if i'm overlooking anything.

Thanks

yes it has a 4L60E, it is based on the 700r4 but only a few things will interchange.

a pass drop 241 should bolt up to it the C stands for chevy

My tips are, make your own brackets, unless your not inclined to do so. Dont get steering from ORU. How big of lift are you running? Theres a pic I did a SAS on in my webshots.

I'm finishing a SAS on a 92' S10 utalizing 10bolt front and 14bolt FF rear axles. TBI 350out of a 95 Tahoe, 700r4 from the S10 (slightly Moded), and the NP203 to match the pasenger side front diff. If I can be of any help just let me know. I know I wish I had someone to bounce things off of when I started this Beast.

By the way, My brother and I have done all of the work our selves.

I'm Probaly going with 8" springs that are left over from a '84 blazer project that got rerouted. I'm trying not to go with a body lift. Maybe some mild triming. What size tire do you think will fit? I've always heard that you get an automatic 2" when you use the ORU kit.

The you will have 10" lift. Youll need to cut with 38's. If you get ORUs kit, dont get the steering from them.
