I don't know if many of you remember, but I tree OWNED my driver side tail light. Do parts stores sell new tail light lenses/covers? What are each of these bulbs called, there was one at the top of the housing with two terminals, a clear small one on the side of the housing, and another big bulb at the bottom with only one contact point.

on the bottom one I can make out 1156 and directly under those numbers it says PL 5.

on the top light, I THINK I'm seeing 12057.

so I need all 3 bulbs and a tail light housing. I'm almost willing to bet that if I just stroll into a parts store, they'll give me the wrong junk, so I always like to be prepared. part numbers for any of the 3 bulbs or housing would be more than welcome :D

I doubt parts stores would carry the lens cover.
Have you tried taking the passenger side cover off and getting the part number off them or at least take them into the store with you to compare with? :doah:

The bulb is an 1157 for STOP / TAIL / TURN.

The bulb is an 1156 for backup light.

See here for the lens and housing.

Hope it helps.

Nice link, thanks!!! :wink1:

Actually, that housing and lens is so popular, most autoparts stores carry replacement units. You should be able to find the lens at the very least at a Napa, Autozone, or OReilly's.

You can get the lenes and bulbs from from the parts store, as stated above. You can have my old housings if you want them, just come pick them up.

I welded some sheetmetal over the openings and use trailer lights. Solved that problem for good.

With as bent up as your sheetmetal is around the housing, i seriously doubt you are going to be able to get a new housing and lens to fit in there properly, may have to finger something else out for a light
